I'm VP, Product Design for HBO Max. Prior to that, I was Director of Experience Design for TED. For over two decades, I've led product design, content and development teams, won some awards, worked with great clients, taught here and there, judged a few design competitions, guest-lectured, sat on design and tech panels, spoken on a few podcasts, and had my work featured in design books.
In addition to design, I write (a lot). My stories have been published on TED, TED-Ed, Fatherly, The Mighty, HuffPo, and Yahoo! News. I'm a featured writer on Medium, where I often write for UX Collective. I was also one of Quora's Top Writers in 2018.
I’m dad to twin boys, one of whom is autistic, both of whom inspire me to try to make the world a little better. I love design, technology, science, philosophy, and the arts. I'm a curious explorer, skeptical humanist, and as nerdy as I am earnest.
